This was my first European climb. Went up the hard way from Escott. I struggled on my compact with a 12/30! Last few KM seriously steep -you just have to turn the pedals slowly and count down the signs. DO NOT ZIGZAG- cyclists coming the other way are up to 80 kph and silent. The descent down the other side was incredible. Did I enjoy it? Definitely. Would I do it again? No.
