Monte Bisbino, Cernobbio story submitted on 12/9/2008
Monte Bisbino is a beautiful climb just up from Cernobbio outside Como. The view over Lake Como is great on the way up and the road quality is good all the way. Except in two switchbacks were the surface is cobbles. A great training hill. My PB from the first right hander as you leave Cernobbio is 53 minutes.

Mortirolo, Mazzo story submitted on 7/8/2009
I climbed the Mortirolo and the Gavia on a hot day in august 2009. (32 degrees C in Mazzo at the start). What a relentless climb. So narrow, shaded and dark. So evil yet so grand and beautiful. 34x25 was tough, but doable. Made it over in just over 1 hour and 5 minutes with a couple of stops for photos. Amazing how the 8-9% gradients felt like false flats. I suffered on the Gavia later in the day, but the combo is a great ride, especially if you get picked up in Bormio.

Passo Gavia, Ponte di Legno story submitted on 7/10/2009
Rode Gavia for the 2nd time on the 29th of September. It was a wonderful clear and warm autumn day. Climbed Gavia from Ponte Di Legno after riding from Bormio and up the Mortirolo. I was on my own and made good use of a compact crank and 25 in the back. The tunnel is scary without lights, but it is all a matter of looking ahead. The surface now is smooth and nice. The views were awesome as I topped out just before sunset and descended to Bormio in a light jacket and kneewarmers. I will be back here again. Hopefully with better legs. One of my favorites.
