Cycling tour: Bédoin-Sault-Ventoux-Bédoin - Bédoin

One of the most beautiful climbs ever. It starts out in the wine country and rolling hills around Bedoin, then goes up-hill in Mediteranean forests with lots of turns. The last third is above the tree line and always very windy, sometime bordering on extremely windy. The panorama from the top is great. The climb is very consistent, usually between 8-10%. It is the length and the cold wind at the end that are the most difficult parts of this mountain. The ride down is wonderful. Many turns. It gets warmer again by the minute. There are several outdoor cafes in town to relax after the ride.
