The Dordogne/Limousin region is rich with history, with beautiful castles, caves and settlements dating back to the middle ages.
The landscape is green and pleasant, with flowing countryside, woods, lakes and rivers. On top of this, this region has an excellent cuisine! Imagine for instance the Foie Gras, the truffles, the walnuts and the Bergerac wines.
A fun thing to do is take a canoe trip down the Dordogne. A great holiday region!
