Information on the Auvergne:

The Auvergne is exciting because of it's beautiful nature: green hills with high plains, woods and lakes and extinct volcanoes, of which the Puy de Dôme is probably the most famous among cyclists. The Ardèche is colourfully decorated with lavender fields, woods, mountains rivers and streams, with attractive small towns and imposing caves and clefts.
