Theres a fantastic alm just opposite the highpoint, where you can eat food from the farmrs cattle ranch and even stay the night. Its the only dwelling in miles and miles, the place is as remote as the furthest glen, but the weathers much better (25C on Aug 21)

This pass needs a lot of power. Specially from Imst. It just have only one 180° curve. The rest is rising steadly high up to the pass. There you cannot find any hut or any other place for resting. Only nice meadows and few cows. On weekends during the season it´s quite well frequented. Sometimes even crowded; no traffic-fee. The road is narrow but well paved. In 2006 the German-Tour were passing this mountain with the end at St. Anton in Tyrol. Leader at this pass was Erik Zabel!
