I climbed the Torre starting from the little village of Goveia which is in the north of the Torre. First kilometers are easy, 5% on average, you quickly reach 1330 metres of altitude, but then its going down again to 1000 metres. From that point on its getting difficult, up to 1500 metres its 9-10% on average. After that its an easy climb. I went back on a different track heading towards Manteigas. This meant additional 600 metres of altitude to get back to Goveia. Nice landscape, heat can be a big problem! I made a total of 2500 metres of altitude on that trip and about 100 km. So its not an easy going! Regards Mike
