I recently climbed this one. What you have to know prior to trying to ride this climb, is that the last about 6 km, is on really bad asphalt, with big holes, stones and very bumpy. It is doable on a road racer (as I did), but I would only do this climb again on a MTB. The scenery and nature is fantastic though, with views to Pico de Veleta and Mulhacen, and on my way up, I saw 3 giant eagles circling the sky. Great climb, but do it on a MTB.
