Climbed this on holiday on a hired Kuota KOM, nice bike. Got it from Evasion Sports in Saillon. Climb is very steady and the views of the valley are breathtaking. Quickly ramps up to a constant 8 to 9.5% which will drain your legs unless you take it easy on first 7km.
Gets steeper past the Tzoumaz sign. As an alternative you can head up through the village but it is just as steep, if not more so.
There''s a bar or two at the top, in La Tzoumaz. You can do the full 15km by going through the village and past another two hairpins, until the Tarmac runs out.
12 hairpins, 5 tunnels 13.5km and 1200m ascent.....

This is a really rough climb. I''ve done it like 6 times and every time it hurts. This beast never gives you recovery time. From the first meters your legs will be pumping until the end.
When you think you''re almost there, when you pass the sign ''La Tzoumaz'', the worst part is yet to come. The next 2 km''s are steeper than the 5 before and will make you call for your mother.
If you''re a climber, are well trained and/or a competitive cyclist, you should be able to climb this one in less than an hour. If not, expect to pedal suffering up to 1-1,5 hours. Good luck!
