Description

Category 1 UCI Rated. Climb from valley floor to the Blue Ridge Parkway. This climb has been featured in the Tour of Virginia stage race and annually in the Blue Ridge Extreme Century in August. Steepest part is at the sharp curve adjacent to the Wintergreen Ski Resort entrance.

I am a long ways from being an expert climber but this mountain left me gasping for breathe. I climbed it with a 23 cassette and it took everything I had. Next time Ill have better gearing. My buddy made made it no problem.
