This climb starts from the Genting Sempah rest area of the Karak Highway, around 30km NE of Kuala Lumpur and just after the twin Genting Sempah road tunnels. It rises a total of 1107m over 19.6km, to the mountain-top Genting Highlands Resort complex. This climb is a regular feature in the early-season Tour De Langkawi, and although relatively unknown, it has been described my some pro cyclist as one of the most difficult climbs in the world.
