Fantastic little climb with very rewarding views at top.

It is very narrow and you will be dependent on goodwill of drivers (to many) to make it to the top uninterrupted.

Pick your small gear at the bottom as you won''t want to be changing gear much after that!

I managed on a 39-25 without emergency intervention :-)

It is steepest from the Kenmore side.

I''ve done this climb 3 or 4 times now but it took me by surprise today, conditions were cold, foggy and drizzly and my legs had already covered 45 miles including the nearby Ben Lawers road, Garrow is a difficult and relentless climb from the start but is a rewarding challenge, car drivers appreciate what you are attempting and always pull over to let you pass. Be very careful on the descent over the other side, especially if its foggy as there are some sudden hairpin bends.

Very nice climb. I rode it during a 5-day cycling tour of Scotland, with 2 friends. The first 2 kilometres have stretches of about 15%, so it''s what we call a ''kuitenbijter'' (lit: biting one''s calf). So, it is short and steep, not too difficult and arriving on top the view was overwhelming. The sun shone (finally), the air was clear, and the heath coloured deep purple. Really very impressive!

Go there!
