Forca di Pani - Ampezzo

Me and my cousin did this climb on 9th June 07, it is a complete nightmare, starting from Ampezzo you first go down to a river (down about 100 meters), go across the bridge and turn right, this and then it starts, the climb to Voltois is well ashfelted, then there is a section of about 100 meters with cobles, not the nice smooth type but round lumps of stone (would be terrible in damp conditions), then the hell starts again, the ashfelt is pretty good all the way to the top, the profile says maximum 18.9% but I would say that it maxed out at 20 to 22%, my Vetta V100A said maximum 24% (however this is rairly correct), there are a couple of "very" short easier sections, but these are far too RAIR, I used 38/27 almost all the way up, but would have liked a compact!! when you get to the top the views are breathtaking, realy worth the trip, however for the faint hearted I would suggest going up the other side from Enemonzo or Raveo.
