The first 10km are pretty brutal but once youre through that it gets much easier. A beautiful alpine climb with a stunning lake just beyond the summit.

Only recently sealed, the road surface is good, but still bedding in. I''ve only ridden up this as part of the AUDAX ACE250: with so many hours already in the legs, the first part of this climb feels brutal on 39/27 -much tougher than climbing Mt Hotham from Harrietville (the higher ranked climb that preceeds this one in the ACE250). However, after the first few steep km, the angle relents and then continues to relent, and you can build pace to the top, while enjoying some wonderful views (but not as good as Mt Hotham- that is just awesome). The ACE250 circuit overall is world class, and will be a famous one day classic pro race one day
