I did the climb last week on a mountain bike at a relatively comfortable pace, which took about 70 min including drinking and photo breaks. There are many bikers doing it in less time. The ride offers great views. If you go beyond the temple to Bubhing palace and then to Doi Pui as I did, you can go down the mountain on the other side to Huay Tung Tao and choose from a number of single and double track mountain trails.
