Tour de France. 1920. Col du Parpaillon........ But I can not find much information about that. Maybe someone else?

De difficulty score is gebaseerd op de start in Embrun. Dit is dalend. Als je gewoon beneden in het dal begint is de afstand 25.6 km en het hoogte verschil 1845. Wat betekent een score van dik over de 200!!! [Dit klopt. De score werd herberekend vanaf de echte start van de col na km 2 en zo wordt de Parpaillon een vijfsterrencol: 201,44 - CBB]

A trip into the past, to Frances last big unsurfaced pass, to see how Alpine roads once were! This road is 8km unsurfaced on this side, and 11km on the other. In addition, the tunnel is so high that it is iced even in August. On a racer, this is a very difficult and not undangerous journey. On a MTB, it would be a bit less draining. Whatever means of transport, it would be a shame to go to the south of France without doing the Parpaillon.
