16 year old of age me and my family were heading for the Alpe DHuez. However, before that we decided to spend some days in the Jura, mainly because of its interesting landscapes and villages. From our camp-site we spotted this mountain which is reminded me about the Mont Ventoux. Just like that one, this hill stands lonely as well topping just above 850 m while surrounding hills dont go above 550 m. As a training me and my brother decided to climb up this bastard unknowingly how hard it would be. Starting from Salins-les-Bains the road easily finds its way up to the first half, once you take the left it even goes down a few meters. Another left and the heavy part starts, well we thought it couldnt be that long anymore so we raced up this wall of asphalt. Soon we found ourselves exhausted by its steepness and once we thought it was all over the steepest part was still heading for us. Great climb, mysterious mountain (no one has ever heard about it), wished the tour would finish here some day....
