I rode this climb whilst serving my ban for CERA use. Best climb in the Derneyshire area, I think so. Truely alpine

I rode this route, from holmfirth to greenfield in the morning, greenfield to holmfirth at night, 5 days a week for 18 months. Summer, winter, rain or snow. It is one of the bleakest routes in the UK, and has the greatest views of any. It is best ridden from the holmfirth direction, then you reach the peak above a winding valley and reservoirs, freewheeling at 50kph for 5 km down into the valley.
