I just climbed up to Rossfeld from Berchtesgaden last week. I climbed up the Northern side via Oberau (Clockwise Direction) the climb is much harder this direction and I found it very enjoyable. The grade from this direction is on average 12%. The ride follows the ""Rossfeld Panoramastrasse"" there is an entrance station at the 8km mark and entrance is free for cyclists. The views into Austria and South to the mountains are second to none. Do not ride down the cut off road to Berchtesgaden from Obersalzberg as it is to steep for traction in the woods (25% grade). Stay on the ""Panoramastrasse"" back to Oberau and then back to Berchtesgaden.
