This is a local favorite, and the final climb of the Roan Groan race, the oldest bike race in Tennessee. It lies on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina, and can be approached from either side, although the Tennessee side is longer and steeper. Formerly used in the Tour du Pont stage race in the 1990s.
