I did both sides on a rest day during a cycletours vacation in the pyrenees. First the relatively easy Spain side than a very fast bendy downhill on the damp tarmac to the french side, that was the first time i had some troubles with my brake track overheating, I´m a fast experienced downhiller, so i knew what was coming in the climb! Personally I think it was one of the hardest climbs in the pyrenees, lot of variabel percentages and very steep parts, bit like the Italian dolomites. It was fun ride afterall but i underestimated the climb from the french side. The downhill on the spain side was fun, not to high speeds but long straits sections.
