I did Piancavallo after being off the bike for nearly 8 weeks with knee injury, i only ha 100km in my legs few days before. the climb starts gently , then it ramps up very steep, after 4-5 km you face 2km of 13-15% non stop, really gets it out of you, then levels a bit ad you cruise, once more it ramps up for a bit. overall it is a nice climb with beautiful tarmac. the descent is quite technical and very fast with wide but fast switch backs. would rate it 3 out of 5. remember its always over 9 to 11 %.
