This is a nice climb, not hard and very good scenery, it actually starts in Tarcento, with one small downhill just before Vedronza, from Tarcento to Vedronza the climb is next to a deep river valley, most of the route is wooded so in the summer it’s quite cool, however, beware in Autumn and Winter it can be 10 degrees colder than the surrounding area. A good tour of around 85km is to go from Tarcento – Tanamea – Uccea - Sella Carnizza – Resia – Venzone – Gemona – Tarcento (Not a Winter tour).
