The statistics on this climb are deceptive, as the first couple of miles are relatively flat. Also, the heat and altitude can make this more difficult. There are some nice views all the way up and a pine forest near the top can help with the heat. There is a small kwik-e mart near the bottom, but otherwise the nearest food, water, and toilets are in Safford (about 7 miles from the bottom).

Just rode Mt Graham and not sure of the math on your site and you need to be careful when using averages. Started at 3400ft and climbed 16.13 miles to reach 8760ft. Grade averaged well over 6.3%. There is a relatively flat area after this. Climb is challenging coming back down as there is loose gravel and sand on many of the turns especially at the top.
