I did it yesterday for the first time. It''s a real treasure to have so close by, two lanes paved all the way so that it''s super easy for cars to pass you safely. I kept mainly to my highest gear and stayed in the saddle all the way. Now that I know what to expect I can try a little attacking next time. 1hr. 18min.

Mt Seymour is the toughest climp that''s easily accessible to Vancouver-area riders. It starts out tough right away...the first 5k are a grunt. There''s a bit of respite in the middle, but then the final bit is also tough. It''s a good test of your overall fitness level. The road''s a bit rougher than Cypress, and you don''t get the sweeping views (although there is one nice viewpoint looking towards the east), but overall it''s a ''must do'' if you''re a serious rider and find yourself in Vancouver.
