There is a bit of climbing before you reach the ''official'' start. The road is one-way for most of it, going clockwise. Stunning views. Also a lot of mountain bike trails. At the top there is a cafe. Armoured tank. Zoo. There is also another, quieter cafe further round. Some forts. Road is very, very narrow. But drivers were very good (busy week-end), most wouldn''t pass until I waved for them to pass. There is also a cable car for the lazies.

Climbed with a 2nd hand alu bike after I trashed my Madone 6.5SSL! Very windy day blown to a standtill on top 2 hairpins. Views over Toulon are stunning especially when there is sea spray being whipped up off the island at the harbours edge.
