Mont Caume. The road from Toulon is difficult to find and unmarked. So need a map or have a good idea. It starts just west of Mont Faron. D62 via Les Pomets. Once on it, it is a beautiful climb up till the Col du Corps de Garde then turn right for the rough but paved road to the top. Fantastic views. Some fortifications. No facilities or water. Would be a great place to cycle/bivi. Going north from Toulon there is a left turn marked C.C.F.F. Stay on this road all the way to the Col. After the turn, always take the roads going to the right.

The start of the climb can be different from the one choosed. And ironically the end too ! Near the top, don''t go left like advised here, but turn right even if traffic signs say it is prohibited. Following this way to that top, you can reach 800 m above sea level and enjoy the view from Port Cros island to La Ciotat on the south and Siou Blanc and the Castellet race car circuit on the north.

In the middle of the climb, you will pass the col du Corps de Garde where you have to turn right. The road becomes really harsh after the col.

Great climb quite easy in the beginning to the col and which can be challenging because of climbing pourcentage and the really bad road.
