Nice climb on a small road through the Grischbachtal. Only the short initial section is on the regional road (no 11), but from the turnoff to Underbort you rarely encouter any traffic. After the last houses of Underbort at 1155m there is a decent of 1.5km to 1095m. Then the road runs though the middle of the valley along the small river at moderate gradient. This part is quite shaded, while the second half of the climb follows a steeper gradient on the left side of the valley and includes a few switchbacks in more open alpine grassland. Near the top the stunning Gastlosen mountain range streches out and accompanies you to the other side, along the decent to Jaun. The pass is part of the swiss regional bike route 59.
