Give this a 4 simply because it is so darn easy to do after work and even at lunch if you work close enough. Most measure the climb as ''Pillar to Post'' but really there is a good little climb to the pillar itself and you can continue up higher through some nice rolling terrain after you reach the post. Some even take it farther, all the way up over Juniper Pass and up to the top of Mt. Evans. Makes for one great day.

Great little local ride. A lunchtime favorite from work! Not a lot of traffic, nice views. Not long enough? Bag it 2 or 3 times (my record is 5 in one outing) or keep going to Hwy 40, go East to US 6 and back to the start of Lookout Mountain Rd for a nice 17 mile loop.
