In past holidays in the area I never thought about doing this climb, knowing the climb data. Starting in Marignier you need a good map to find the start. No signs pointing you in the right direction. The asphalt of the small road is very old, broken by the weather. There are even a few short grind passages. The steepest parts of the climb go well over 10 percent (Michelin map: max. 18%). The road climbes through a forrest, corner after corner, with some nice views every now and then. The finish is on an a small parking place, a starting point for hikes around the mountaintop. Sprinting to the top my mate took a few hundred meters; I could returned is his wheel but lost the sprint. Very nice there to sit in the grass enjoying the scenery. Great day, with a big puncture in the difficult descent (be carefull, no descent to make speed because all the gravel).
