This is an epic little climb, I prefer this to the bigger shallower alpine, this ramps and hairpins it"s way up though tiny hamlets and abandoned cortijos, switchbacks provide epic views up the coast. Sometimes have to stop for goats, but it is Sierra cabrera. Recently they have paved the last couple of k to the summit but at near 30% in places quite an ask after 900m. The gradient map is misleading, fast steady climb to the first village then a drop then it rolls until a steady 10% to the final. This is an absolute must if in the area but make sure you have the required gearing or you will be walking the last bit.
