One of my favorite climbs in the US! The climb is a bit remote, but worth the trip. The climb is never too difficult, but the views are spectacular. As you get higher up the climb, you can see quite far out over the desert landscape. Usually, there is not too much traffic on the road. Take plenty to drink because it can be very warm during certain times of the year. There is some food and drinks available at the top.
My personal climb rating:

Climb is located in Arizona not Alabama. Nice steady gradient, amazing views. Basically you corkscrew on a steady left hand turn 3/4 of the way up then you cross over to the other side of the mountain where you are on a steady right hand curve to the top.
