Climbed it on my road bike took about 45 mins, quite a tough climb with relentless multiple sections 15-20% and it takes around 40 mins - but the road surface is great right up to the radar station at the summit...was freezing in the wind and mist at the top couldn''t wait to get back down into the valley. Well worth a detour if you''re in the area and you get to brag that you''ve climbed the highest paved road in the UK heh heh ;-)

Rode up this last week. Took 50 mins. Very hard due to the steep bits and the wind. Felt like 50mph (possibly a lot more) gusts. Used 32 x 26 gear most way up on road bike. Next time Ill choose a calmer day.

Tremendous! I came across the top of this road unexpectedly on my mountain bike. I returned the following weekend to climb it. A superb ride in a superb setting. Best done as the start of a mountain bike ride as the road becomes a bridleway at the top.
