Stories, information and comments from Fleet Moss climbers
Story by Richard Lewis from Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom, submitted on 20/05/2008
Fleet Moss from Hawes is very tough. Theres no point in riding the first section too quickly, save your energy. The steepest section is near the top and its between 25 and 30% for about 200m. Its so steep that you can barely turn the pedals, a compact chainset is essential. Watch out for sheep and tractors. Ive done this climb twice and it was worse when I knew what was coming!
