This ride is quite short but nasty, its just a constant strain on the legs, I did it with 53/38 vs 12/27, and spent most of my time in 38/27, the key, in my opinion, is to get the start correct, over do it and you die after 1 or 2 km, views are very good, the churh is one of those picture postcard types. If you are a roady remember there is only one way up/down, for MTBs you can probably do some kind of off road way down, on the close-up maps it looks like there are several options.
