I climbed the Col de la Croisette on my full suss mountain bike as a training ride with Helen and Fiona Barron; two young British cross country racers from the Pilgrim Flyers team.
It is a very steep and I was glad of the extra gears but perhaps not so happy with the heavy bike. We still easily managed to break the hour though and it was all worth it for the fantastic views and the wonderful off road traverse and subsequent descent that we found.
A highly recommended route by which to climb the Salève by bike!
