The climb up to Leschaux is very easy, and pretty - ideal for beginners. The second part is more challenging - from the village you can see a great view of the hairpins stretching up the side if the mountain, which looks a bit intimidating! Once you make it up them to the false flat 3/4 of the way, you can get a breather, ready for the final section. Although very long, the gradient is OK for most of the climb. Note the descent down to Annecy is very fast and not too twisty.
