This is a great climb, right in the middle of Cairns. The road carries very little traffic - possibly more bikes than cars. The gradient varies generally rising at around the 5-6% mark, but with some sections at about 10%. The road surface can be a bit dodgy, especially in the wet season when it can be littered with leaves and debris, and a bit slippery, which means care is needed on the descent.
