Great ride. Very little traffic once you are off SP1. I am usually staying in Imperia so the route I take is; SP1 towards Taggia, take SP548 towords Badalucca. Pass through Badalucca and turn onto SP21 towards Montalto. Pass through Montalto and Carposio continuing up SP21. You will pass SP24 which is a right turn just before (100 meters) the top (Col d''Oggia). If you want to take a different route back to Imperia, ride about 100 meters back to SP24 and turn left onto SP24. As you are desending you will come up on a right turn, SP93, towards Pantasina and Vasia and then Imperia.

I cannot remember the distance but it is about 50 miles. Very scenic, cows and sheep in the road at top, lots of olive farms. You can do the loop either direction, I prefer the decent into Imperia as my ride is then over, but the descent into Badalucca is pretty awesome.
