Col du Perthus - Cantal

The Col du Perthus in the Cantal is a two-step climb comparable with many climbs in the Belgian Ardennes. After a soft beginning, it goes up real steep after which follows a small descent. Next it goes up again to end with 11%.

For the pedantically minded (and also for those looking for the Col du Pertus on a map), it isn''t in Midi-Pyrenées as stated above but, like the whole of the Cantal, in the Auvergne.



It''s a fine ride, but quite tricky to find the entry from both Mandailles and from St Jacques les Blattes.
