Stories, information and comments from Col de la Colombière climbers
Story by Tarjei T from , Norway, submitted on 17/07/2016
I had the great pleasure of climbing Colombiere as part of L''Etape du Tour 2016. The surrounding are unspeakably beautiful, and had I not been of a race, I would have stopped every 500 meter to take photos climbing out of Le Grand-Bornand.

The climb is fairly consistent starting with a few hairpins, then a flatter section through Chinaillon, before you head above the tree line for the final 4k with a few hairpins.

In general the climb is not particularly demanding and the surroundings are so beautiful that you will easily forget any painful moments.
