This is a beautiful climb. It is quit long and a bit steeper then I anticipated, but the road is very quiet (not many cars) and good quality. Once youve reached the top you can go down on the other side, where you get a very nice view over the gorge leading to St Pierre de Chartreuse. The road down to St Laurent du Pont is closed for cars and very bad quality (dents, rocks, pits, mud, tunnels without lighting) so you might want to reconsider going down or up there on a road racer. On a mountainbike however it would be fun. The view is absolutely worth it.
