My favourite road climb in the world so far. I did it 3 days after Ventoux, making it seem pretty easy in comparison, but it is still a lovely day out. The scenery (coming from/through Gorge du Verdon) is some of the most beautiful you will see anywhere, and the gradually changing gradients make for interesting as well as challenging climbing. Beware of traffic, 1 or 2 tunnels are not well-lit, but French drivers are generally far more considerate then those I am used to at home!
