This is a good, short, steep climb, with much of it in the 12 - 14% range. Pure switchbacks. Narrow road with no traffic. Beatiful views of Lac de Serre-Poncon on the descent, when you''ll get very tired of riding your brakes.

Very nice climb! If you really start at Savine Le Lac, it is a few km longer with 100-150 m more gradient. (The profile graph starts from the intersection where the road to the col leaves the main road)
The road is very quiet, and you get superb views over the lake.
Your brakes will be steaming if you descent from the other side, because it is very steep with many hairpins, in a narrow road (My max. speed was only 40km/h).
Closing the loop via the main road back to the starting point, gives a total distance of 30km (if you start in Savines).
