Our group rode Col de Mente in July 2004. We were fooled by the short length, this pass was hard! Ralph renamed it, "Col Demented." It was beautiful, wooded and often shaded, and a nice restaurant at the top where the host was very friendly to an American who tried to put together a French sentence.
