Col de Grimone: What a route! Climbing this col departing from the lovely valley at Chatillon en Dios is superb. The climb itself is not that hard, but the scenery is exceptionel. You start in the slightly sloping lavender fields, pass the beautiful gorges des Gats, pass a few scenic tunnels and suddenly enter the magnificent valley at Glandage. Then the last leg of 4 kms is the only part where you really witness that the climb is a little tough. The last km can be rather windy, since you really are on a narrow ridge once reaching the Col. From there its a nice view towards the East with the ski slopes of Super Devoluy. A nice route for the not so experienced climbers Id say.
