This Col seemed like a mole hill after the last six days on the road from Lake Geneva. Team Visual Impact had been riding the Route de Grande Alpes. It reminded me of a sunny Cat & Fiddle ride in its gradient, though that is where the similarity ended as I cannot ever imagine how the Cat & Fiddle could reach 30 C in September. One of our team Goran got the wind up his tail and ran the Col in his big plate, or maybe he could just smell the Med just beyond the bus stop at the top of the Col.
