Im 43 and in training for the Dartmoor Devil audax ride in October. Ive decided that if I can get over this hill (which is right by my house) then I should be able to get over just about anything. Ive got a heart rate monitor and the most its ever got up to previously 178 bpm. I was only half way up this killer when I spotted my heart rate was up at 200 bpm. Thats when I got off for a rest - and to avoid a heart attack! I know I can do it eventually, suppose I just have to keep trying!
