This climb overall is not that hard, but the section between km 18 and 20 is pretty brutal, 18% maybe more, with hairpins which give absolutely no respite. In the Giro 2013 this will definitely be selective, given that the Cason di Lanza climb which precedes it is also very very demanding. And the Altopiano del Montasio is beautiful when you get there. Really worth the effort.
