Tijdens eerste week van de vakantie deze beklimming gedaan, als eerste echte bergbeklimming als wielrenner. Wel AGR gefietst, maar nooit dit soort beklimmingen gedaan. Vorig jaar won Denis Mentsjov hier de ettape uit de Giro. Na een eerste gedeelte, tot aan rotonde (2km), nog af en toe een afvlakking. Daarna begint het steile gedeelte en loopt de beklimming door zonder rustpunten. Na bocht 9 vlakt hij af. M.i. zware beklimming, maar wel heel mooi mede door omgeving. Zeker een aanrader als je in de buurt bent.
